Arthur Smith

Arthur Smith has worked for the American Physical Society in the Journal
Information Systems Department since 1995, supporting the online
transformation of the peer review process and related activities for the
Physical Review journals. His current position as lead data analyst involves
collecting and organizing the many different forms of data associated
with the journals, from internal communications to subscription and citation
data, to improve understanding and decision-making in the publishing operation.
He also led development of the PhySH physics taxonomy for use by the journals.
Arthur received a Ph.D. in physics from Cornell University in 1991.
